Portia offers a variety of target data type options.
The following information is designed to help you navigate understand your options.
Count
Count allows you to track the number of occurrences of a target behavior. For most count targets duration of time is considered to yield rate of responding.
Probe
Probe data allows you to record the first trial of the session as independent or incorrect. Once the trial has been collected the prompts will Gray out.
Trial by trial fixed (with prompts)
Allows you to track correct responses out of total opportunities per session resulting in a percentage. By setting a fixed number of trials you will be limited to that fixed amount. For example, if you have chosen to fix your data at 10, you will only be able to complete 10 trials of that specify Pacific target. The yes and no tracking buttons will become great at once all the trials are complete. Remember as per the RBT training you must complete all trials before the scheduled end time of your session failure to do so will result in the correct responses divided by the predetermined fixed number of trials. Alternatively, as outlined above you may also want to set up trial by trial fixed with prompts. Trial by trial fixed with prompts will allow you to track the prompt level used for each trial period once all trials have been completed, the prompts will grey out.
Trial by trial continuous (with prompts)
Allows you to track correct responses out of total opportunities procession (unlimited number of trials) resulting in a percentage. Alternatively, as outlined above you may also set up trial by trial continuous, with prompts from a trial continues with prompts will allow you to track the prompt level used in each trial throughout the session.
Duration per occurrence is a measure of time for each occurrence of the target behavior. The target will start off at 0.00 at the beginning of each new session. The therapist must then go into the specific target, and press Start whenever the task is being tracked is occurring. Once the task is done the therapist must go back to the target and press Stop the time will default back to zero, each after each instance the timer is stopped. However, you will have the ability to see the last response, average duration, and number of trials within the target cue card.
Cumulative duration is a measure of the total amount of time that the target behavior occurred during a session. If you opt to use Q move duration, the time will start from where it left off after the first trial period the last response, total duration common amount or trials will be available within the target Q card for reference.
Time sampling option is available to record the occurrence of a target behavior during an interval of time. Whole, partial or momentary time sampling data types may be selected. At the end of your specified interval a popup will appear prompting you to choose yes or no, indicating whether or not the behavior occurred during the set interval. Choose the appropriate answer for that interval. It is important to remember to press the start button. This will allow you to receive a prompt for each interval. Also having an auditory notification enabled on your device will ensure you do not miss an interval recording opportunity.
