How to add images to Targets

The image library is a feature that includes over 1,000 pictures and images that you can add to a target in Learner’s program. You can use on of Portia’s images, images from your Faculty Library or images that are in the individual Learner’s Folder.

When adding in images to a Learner’s program you can add in the images for the target you wish to teach as well as up to 5 distractors. 
To begin, let’s go to the Learner’s Program Page and select the Task and then the Target we want to add images to.

In the Task, TA-03, Tacts Common Objects we are going to add images to a target. Click on View Targets to open the Target List



Here we have the target, “Dolphin”. For this target we are going to add images for Dolphin as well as other animals for the distractors.

Press "Set Images"


Open Filters and type what you are looking for.  Any image with this name in it or that has this as a tag will appear. You can also filter by Category or search under the Learner's Image Folder, which is where you can upload images of the Learner's family.



Let's add two of these images to Slot 1. This will be our Target Images.



Now, let's create distractors. We will create another Slot for each distractor.
To add an image you select “ + Add Slot “


You can have up to multiple images in each Slot. You can select which image you wish to use OR you can press  "Add Random Image".

Slots that have Target Slot selected will always be visible on the mobile app. Click an image to add to the slot, you can add as many images as you wish to Slot. Having multiple images gives the therapist multiple examples of the target. For example you may want to have a cartoon image, a photo, an image with a background, etc. 

You can add up to 5 additional Slots per target (these can be the distractors or additional target Slots).
If you want more than one image to be the target, i.e., you have a program in which you ask “Which one is not the animal?”, then you would select multiple slots to be the target Slot.
Select “Save changes” and the images will be saved and ready to be used on the mobile app.
Remember, Target Slots are always visible on the mobile app. When the therapist reduces the visual field, these slots will remain.
