All targets are set at default to have the following lifecycle:
      Acquisition   ->  Generalization   ->  Maintenance   ->   Complete

You can change the Target Lifecycle by editing each target. This can be done by selecting ‘Edit’ to the right side of each target.

Once you are on the Target Info Screen, you can Skip Generalization and Skip Maintenance by checking the appropriate box(es).

You can also change the Target Status to Baseline, Acquisition, Generalization, Maintenance, etc. on the Edit Target page.

When you are using the Baseline option, please be aware of the following:

  • A Target with the status of Baseline will always show on the handheld, and will remain visible in each and every session until a YES or a NO is captured for that target. (Once the data has been captured, it will show for the entire session but will not re-appear)
  • Targets that receive a YES at Baseline, will move through the Target Lifecycle as follows:

                              Baseline   ->   Complete

  • Targets that receive a NO in Baseline will move through the Target Lifecycle as follows:

                  Baseline  -> Acquisition ->  Generalization ->  Maintenance  -> Complete

  • Baseline targets will appear as the original data type that you selected, so please make sure that once tested, the criteria results are a yes or a no. The first entry is the only data point that is recorded in a Baseline, regardless of the data type.
    • i.e. Probe and Trial by Trial (being yes or no) – if the therapist selects YES then the Target is removed from Baseline and is considered COMPLETE. If the Therapist selects NO then the Target is removed from Baseline, as it failed, and is placed in the queue for Acquisition.

* If you are recording Trial by Trial with Prompt – then a selection of “Independent” = YES, any other answer is a NO

    • i.e. Count (being + or -) – if the Learner fails, leave it as Zero (‘0’) and hit DONE. A '+' equals a yes.
